I’ve been on the Captain Cook cruise twice and loved it both times. The first time I went on from Perth- Fremantle return with lunch and the other day we just took the cruise from Fremantle to Perth and had lunch on there. The food was lovely- a buffet lunch with dessert. It was nice to go outside onto the bow to capture the views. We saw hundreds of jelly fish. I found it so interesting when the captain informed us of the house that is worth 57 million & it doesn’t seem like anyone even lives there! My favourite part was coming into Perth city.

We did the True North Ultimate cruise this year it surpassed our expectations, so much so that we have booked another cruise, the only down side is that we have to wait until September 2024. Highly recommend both the boat and the crew.

A True North adventure is quite the most remarkable treat. Your boat is crewed by friendly, interesting, dedicated crew and you'll find passengers who will become friends. It seems expensive- and it is- but it's unique and each element elite. The Kimberley 'cruise' is action packed from dawn till dusk. The only pity is you can't jump off the boat into the water because of sharks and crocodiles in waters. But they left enough fish for us! The menus are amazing. World class - the chefs are brilliant. Daily cocktail only $10! My mother treated our family to this adventure and it was quite the most special family trip. Thanks Mom. Well done True North- truely fabulous.

We booked a Swan Valley tour - firstly via “coach” to Swan Valley & cruise back to Perth. The “coach” was quite old - lumpy seats with very little legroom - so little my husband had to sit sideways- the only seat with legroom was quickly taken by a short woman, who placed her bag on the only other leg room seat -the driver did nothing to help the situation.Lunch at Mandoon winery was excellentLancaster winery excellent. The return cruise was over crowded and uncomfortable. Coach drivers good. Cruise staff very nice.

this trip down the Swan River is a great way to show International visitors our lovely State. From a great view of the city, the amazing millionaire's houses, the many yacht clubs where our residents make use of our water ways to the busy harbour of container ships and working cranes.

A recent cruise of True North II was nothing short of amazing. The scenery we were able to access as a result of being on-board a small, personal cruise was breath-taking. The meals and one-on-one service we received from crew was perfect. Special shout out to Jess B, Jason, Capt Rob & ‘new’ Liam- you guys were the best.Hopefully I’ll be back….. one day.

We were so very happy we chose Discovery One. Firstly, the crew were so friendly and could not do enough for us. Also there was only 22 passengers and ample room on the boat. As a result the atmosphere was friendly, casual and very relaxing.We were lucky to have Lennie as our Captain and he could adapt our itinerary to the changing conditions. His knowledge of the Kimberley coast was exceptional, and he always put the safety of the passengers first.Unlike some other cruises, the Discovery One was small enough to navigate up many of the tidal rivers. Being able to leave the boat on the two tenders for many sightseeing and onshore excursions was a real bonus. We swam in fresh water pools, visited several amazing Aboriginal art sites, wandered along white sandy beaches, travelled up small tidal creeks with towering cliffs either side and saw many spectacular sights that other cruises would not be able to experience.The top deck of the boat included a spa, sunbeds and shade cloth and allowed for 360 degree views. The deck below was an airconditioned lounge with large windows to allow passengers to enjoy the sights. It also had a well-stocked bar!We were very well fed by our amazing cook Tracy, who provided us with delicious food.Jill in the office was highly efficient and kept us well informed prior to our departure. The crew was amazing – our thanks to Lennie – the best Captain ever; the wonderful, unflappable and witty Tamra; the lovely and caring Melissa; the terrific cook Tracy; the quiet, unassuming and efficient Elijah; and of course the ever dependable Adjat, who kept everything running.The sights and experiences we had will stay with us forever.

DON’T GO WITH THIS COMPANY!! This was far from a Trip of a lifetime. We had done a Kimberly cruise with another company, and it was one of the best trips in our life. So, we booked another but with Discovery One. BIG MISTAKE. To start, there are no Doors on the cabins! The Red flag was no internal photos on the website. “No travelling at night” IS NOT an advantage! It means you spend all day getting to places and have no time to do anything when you get there. Promised 2-3 excursions per day – we were lucky to get 1! They shot past a lot of things promised in the brochure with no explanation, hoping no one would notice. When we pointed this out we got some poor excuse or lie as to why. Please Note: there is NO fishing on this boat at all in spite of the brochure. This was one of the highlights of our first trip even if you were not a fisherperson! Barramundi and fish everywhere up there. Any tenders can go through the Horizontal falls. They choose to outsource this at your cost. No Helicopter at Michel Falls! Not offered on the trip another option fail. We did not have the famous Lenny as Captain. We had Bob who treated his staff and passengers as children, He should not be anywhere near customers. Persistent rude and sexist comments that he thought were funny.Honestly, if you want a trip of a lifetime go with someone else. Complete disappointment. I sent several emails to them for feedback, and they were completely ignored to boot.

Our dinner cruise down the Swan River was fantastic. The staff were very attentive without being intrusive, the food was great and the entertainment was brilliant.Allocated tables saves people barging passed others to get the seats they want. My Mum upgraded to the premium package, which was not expensive, and enjoyed some WA rose.Highly recommend.

The best holiday we’ve ever done! Spent 13 nights on board exploring the Kimberley’s and Rowley shoals and were just blown away with what we experienced & saw. The crew were absolutely fantastic, the boat itself is amazing, the helicopter just added another dimension altogether and we met some wonderful new friends along the way. Would give 10 stars if I could! Thank you True North we will definitely be back :)
